I meant to post this a couple of weeks back. I was in a meeting and the official announcement was made that the tunnel has been officially accepted by the city and is providing the prescribed flood reduction benefits.
Hopefully, some of the stalled projects on the East side of downtown will start moving forward.

Last plan I saw said summer 2020, they are expecting about 70 events per year once the lawn and stage are opened.

I was annoyed at the lack of updates on this one and set off to take a look myself. You can see the 17-story Breckenridge site prep going on in the background.

That's a great shot -- probably the first time I've gotten a sense of what the whole park is going to look like.

I feel like waterloo park has been under construction ever since i moved here in 2010. can't wait to see it for the first time after all these years lol.

It really has some good views and explains well what the end result will be.
