CMHR | Winnipeg

... a thread for those you to post about CMHR construction. This way, you can stop messing-up the general CMHR thread with repeatedly crying about how some of us have the audacity to be critical of the project.

Thanks, but you created this thread. It's tainted now!

Alright, let's pop this cherry...

It has smoother lines that I originally thought. I think it will be a very nice addition to downtown.

It would be interesting to have a crew film the construction and have a show on the discovery channel. They often have these TV shows about the construction of mega projects like boats, bridges and buildings. It would definitely put Winnipeg on the map! Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm not even sure if this TV show still exists...

I also agree. I think the stage looks bad even without the museum in the background!

While we're on the topic of the stage, the only thing I don't like is the roof. It looks out of place.

they should just replace it with some curved steel and glass keeping up with the whole arctic/inviting/sharing-circle theme that is the forks? at least it wont be so doomy and gloomy.

ive never been to an event at the stage but i always thought it was an intimate setting and a nice place for gatherings. personally i dont see the need for it to change or match a theme. all the towers in the background match and it looks pretty damn boring lol.just my opinion on an off topic.
