Yeah, that's not really a city with less than 500,000 people...

What I meant was, it's just a political subdivision within a city of 2.2 million people, so it shouldn't count.

Ok, what about the skyline of downtown Snug Cove (population 158) on Bowen Island?
It is part of the GVA, so I should post it with the big city skylines?

I actually agree with Vid (get out a calendar and mark this date), Burnaby is part of greater Vancouver so it doesn't belong in this thread any more than Etobicoke does.

Surely you agree Sparky.

I went on a Thousand Islands Cruise last weekend and snapped these shots of Kingston:

I think the second one is the Royal Military College.

Etobicoke isn't a municipality, Burnaby is, so that isn't a very good comparison.

(I intentionally shot these out of focus... ).

Prince Albert skyline...if I would have got out of the car and included the North Saskatchewan River in the foreground it might look more..., more something (better?).

Saskatoon - These images were captured between late May and middle of August.

Complementary obstructions (this is what I do).

Now forget those gloomy ones above, here's a few from 2007

Broadway Bridge (out of character)

Obligatory

Markham, then. Burnaby is like Markham. A part of a larger city, separated only by the limits of a local government. It is not separate.

And most of the latter shots Ruckus posted are Saskatoon...

Another way of looking at it could be "would X city exist without Y city spilling over its boundaries?" If the answer is yes, and it's less than 500,000, it's part of this thread. If the answer is no, it's in the other one.

its a city not a subdivision - GVRD is made up of 23 cities/towns that grew together

wow, never would have imagined that Prince Albert would have a skyline. But it most certainly does. Very interesting.

...ouch...I don't think he confused Prince Albert with Saskatoon, although there is a slight resemblance

I see people are crying out for more small city skylines.

Here's Corner Brook NL, metro population ~25,000, and definitely not part of a larger metro, although more of a pano than a skyline.

OK Londoners, somebody take a photo of downtown from Riverside Dr., just above Wharncliffe Rd. That's the ultimate beauty shot and a hands-down winner.

Don't make me come back and do it myself because I'll spend all of my time between the Runt Club and Call The Office.. and I'll never make it up Riverside!

With KW, I can see a line, and I can see the sky, but skyline? Needs bulking up. A scattering of midrises is not necessarily a skyline.

You opened the post mentioning Prince Albert and didn't specify that all but the first picture was Saskatoon.
