Im a pretty big fan of Manulife II, I really hope it gets built. Also really like this render in general. Is Stationlands B really going to be so different in colour from Epcore tower?

Awesome. And that's without the spin-off from the Entertainment District.

That project is part of Projet du Havre, I believe it might go ahead one day when they will be done with the destruction of Bonaventure Exressway (with is in progress right now), but I have a doubt, cause I have no news about this project for over a year

It's been a while since I heard about these proposals. Unless they are part of the huge Griffintown project, which I'm not sure. If they are, then there is an important redevelopment project on the way (they are going through the public consultation right now) We're not sure what it's going to look like though since people seem to complaint about the height a lot in the area (which is almost downtown, that is totally absurd)

By the way, i have acquired a base sketchup model for Toronto as well, circa 2008, if any enthusiastic forumers would like to add the new and upcoming projects, or just play with it... they can PM me for the link to the model

The Bloor Renos turned out just fantastic. I moved into a condo on bloor just as they were finished so I got all the benefit with none of the construction nonsense.

Perfection.

It's not perfect as there are many instances such as in front of William Ashley where the granite doesn't meet the store front. Overall, I'm very very pleased. Toronto is under going so much construction, that we'll likely have to tackle streets that are completely built out. There's no point doing Yonge because that street will likely be a massive construction site for the next 20 years.

Bay Street is a good candidate. There are only a few lots left after which the only upgrade might be rebuilding some of the bases of buildings to make them interact with the street more successfully. After Bay, Front and University Avenue should be tackled. Maybe by 2050, we'll get to the smaller side streets.

...and yes that is James Cheng's shangri la in vancouver posing as a ~45-50 story hotel/condo for the project and the others are just manipulated chunks of its glazing.

One thing I find disappointing about Bloor Street Renovations are the street lights design. Other than that, there is nothing to complain about. I hope Bay street north of Queen will have its makeover one day, what a depressing concrete maze.

For anyone who wants to download the sketchup models:

Here's the Toronto model
http://www.mediafire.com/?56oyy1j83b6l7tt

And here's the Vancouver model:
http://www.mediafire.com/?654k8y50dle7p5b

It's really fun when you put both models together and join the cities into a mega skyline.

The Toronto one is confined within Jarvis, University, Bloor and Front, so if anyone is keen enough to expand it, I have the autocad files as well.
