Never thought of leisure boating existing in Paris. Or are the boats used as a mode of transport? Is it common to own a boat?

Great photos, the density of Paris is amazing.

That's the Port de Plaisance de Paris Arsenal. Only used for leasure. I think that's only a curiosity in Paris.
I'm not even sure those boats are owned, probably just rented in many cases...

Those overhead pics of old Paris make the city seem so totalitarian. Every thing is the same height, the Eiffel tower watches over everything...

The Seine is full of leisure and tour boats. Our group took at tour on the Seine. It's a very cool way to see central Paris. Sometimes, you'll even witness some pretty crazy stuff happening below the streets on the river embankments.

Its really cool how Washington, DC has somewhat of a similar influence in terms of the city layout like Paris.
