Charlotte's 4th Ward.

The 4th Ward contains what's left of Victorian Charlotte. Keep in mind, that despite being founded in the 1700's, Charlotte was little more than a very small town (pop 7,000) until the 1880's. Thus, there wasn't a whole lot of Victorian Charlotte to begin with. The city has done a nice job of filling in around the Victorian houses, with high density modern buildings. It's a very pleasant place, located basically Downtown.

Wow, that looks nothing like what I saw of Charlotte when I was there. It's becoming very dense and urban! Hopefully I'll get back there before too long.

Nice stuff. I'm personally not that big a fan of all the horizontal siding but there's enough diversity in there to make up for it.

Incredible, especially with those gorgeous highrises being a stones throw away.
