You calculated the multiple not the percentage increase. While the population of Vancouver is 2.4x larger using your rounded off numbers, that's not the percentage increase.

662-273= 389
389/273= 1.424908... x100
Or 142.49%

Windsor (WWII boundaries): 84,608 in 2021. Down 20% from 1941.

I'll try to do Calgary next. The pre-war boundaries contain all of the federal riding of Calgary Centre and most (but not all) of Calgary-Confederation.
