How is trash collected in older cities like Paris, London, Rome, etc.? I've been to all three, but, do not remember.

I wish Manhattan would remove intervals of on street parking (to create collection dumpsters.

There are many streets are wide enough to have sideways parking. There are also side streets where the street takes up the majority of the space from wall to wall. They're all over the city too. They could use a front yard, or tree planters to condense the amount of asphalt, and condense the available area for a car to maneuver.

Examples. Large swaths of the city are like this:

SF will remind you that its in Carlifornia
Agreed. SF at the neighborhood level begins to feel "thinned out" once you go west of Van Ness. It's not unfriendly to either pedestrians or cars, but it feels like the latter have the upper hand based on both being there and Google Streetview. In general, SF has a poorer sidewalk-street width ratio compared to the NE and Chicago.

If you drink the mystery fluid seeping from trash bag mounds in Manhattan, you will enjoy everlasting life.

Assuming you don't die first, or "everlasting life" is the afterlife?

Probably why the X-Men Mansion was located in nearby Westchester county. Be close to the source but far enough from the funk.

They're testing different prototypes of this very thing now in certain neighborhoods to hopefully implement in a few years.

A Wynwood office building directed at Tech companies already went into foreclosure as well. Only 2 years later. Crypto really sunk Miami.
Peter Theil wanted Miami to become this big new thing and it didnt happen. He went back to CA, like everyone else, appartently.
