Chick Fil-A will be opening a new drive-thru / restaurant at the southwest corner of Fanshawe Park and Richmond... various building permits have been issued to them within the last few months at the address "1673 Richmond St", which is the L-shaped strip mall that has Richies Restaurant, Shelbys, Dominos, etc.

There are no diagrams, but I do see that a permit was issued to demolish the part of the plaza that had Fionn MaCcool's (which closed down a couple years ago), so if I had to guess, they're probably going to build the restaurant and drive-through where FM was and the parking lot in front of it. https://www.google.ca/maps/@43.02567...5410&entry=ttu

That will be interesting to see how they fit that in there. The Wonderland South location is pretty large, I'm not sure just knocking down the end unit there is going to be enough. Look forward to see how they work this in there. Also interesting that over a year ago was the rumour that CFA was looking a little north at Sunningdale. Close lol.

My guess is that it'd be similar to what you see in a Valu-Mart (maybe a little bit bigger) .

In looking at the site plan on Westdell's site again, I see an empty unit of 5400 sq ft directly behind that No Frills, effectively blocking any access to the No Frills from the back for deliveries. I wonder if that's an error on their map (we have seen that many times before on their various plaza maps). That would push the size the of the store to close to what the store going in at Wellington and Baseline.

I also mentioned this to my daughter and she about flipped out at the thought that Memory Lane could be closing. I think she will be heading into town this weekend, it's one of her favourite stores.

Memory lane will be closing? I love that place. It's the best antique store in Ontario.

I posted images in the Central London thread on UT about the govt office building at Talbot and King that is going to be used for housing, likely a conversion.

They have been making really good progress with the construction of this new factory in the Innovation Park on the north side of Bradley Ave. Most of the structural steel is now installed and they have started pouring the ground floor slab on the north end of this factory building.

"Andriani’s investment will be used to build a new, 61,225 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility to make gluten-allergen and GMO-free pasta. Once the new facility is operational, Andriani plans to manufacture products for the North American market in Ontario instead of importing products from Italy."

Foundation walls now poured for a new residential building on the south end of Lucan fronting onto Highway 4(Richmond St). Appears to be a 3.5 - 4s low rise.

Framing now going up on the footprint of the Pizza Hut that burnt down at Highbury and Huron a couple of years ago. I doubt they will move back but the plaza owner will likely be looking for a new tenant once the construction is complete.

The addition to St Anne Catholic elementary school on Huron St has slowly been making progress with all the windows now installed and the new parking lot and entrance way now paved. Still alot of exterior and interior finishing on this addition left before it can be opened up to the staff and students.

There is also a pretty large foundation going in along the back of that property.

The new McDonalds on Dorchester Rd just south of the Shoppers Drug Mart is moving along quickly with the structure completed and exterior finishing well under way. Will likely open before the end of the year.
