This tower is gorgeous. Hopefully, 529 Fifth will be redeveloped next. I suspect that the tenants would love to break their leases in this heinous eyesore.

Re: 425 Madison next to this. It’s emblematic of the garbage owned by the Goldman Estate. I can’t access article, but I pray that the estate liquidates its garbage to enable redevelopment.

This is great news. Not to sound like a broken record, but some of these crappy post-War office buildings on Fifth in the 40s should be redeveloped as condo/hotels. The garbage includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Exhibit C:

All that horrible postwar crap needs to go.

Hopefully these sites are redeveloped with prewar-style residential or mixed-use towers.

I’ll be elated if this eyesore is razed.

460 Park is another hideous building of this era that I hope is redeveloped soon, particularly in light of its prominent location. I think that some Korean entity owns it.

I hope that 477 is bought and razed and that a plaza is built on the site of this eyesore.

The Verizon Building downtown that totally bungles the view of the area around city hall from the Brooklyn Bridge. Ugly, ugly building in a terrible spot.

This building looks so good, what are you talking about - would you really rather it be replaced by a 'plaza' surrounded by several hundred vertical feet of bare lot-walls?

NYC should be thankful for buildings like this, because they sure aren't building infill as well proportioned and classic looking these days...

522 Fifth needs to go. Would be perfect for a new mixed-use tower.

Yeah, wow, this is pure garbage. No place in our city especially a place as prestigious as Fifth Avenue.

This tower is magnificent! I hope that its great success prompts owners of nearby garbage to redevelop their detritus into stunning condos and hotels. 529 Fifth, which is the epitome of dreck, should come down next:
