Wow is right. You can see the random bits of sheet piling they are digging up, each of those is one of the 7 "super-caissons" that would have held up the Spire - actually, each one is a pair of super-caissons for 14 in total.

I don't know how the new building foundation is designed, but it would be a huge waste not to re-use these somehow.

I was wondering what those were.... Thanks for clarifying. I'm not normally super into watching the foundation of a new building go up, but in this case - It's so interesting to see the Spire hold mold into the foundation for a completely different building.

Agreed. I know the sentiment is quite common at this point, but watching the foundation work around the remnants of the Spire is quite fascinating but even more bittersweet...

A before an after comparison from Solar's previous photo from July 24, 2023.

You can see how much they've lowered the grade of the site by the height of the new ramp supports they are construction. Maybe 25+ ft.
