The Elks management could learn a thing or two from the Riverhawks.
One of worst records in pro sports over the last half decade will do that to fan support. Not long ago Edmonton was the model franchise for the CFL.

There’s a few NHL teams that could that could learn a thing or two from the Riverhawks too.

Rumours have a Mr. Larry Thompson as a likely candidate for the Elks new ownership. Recently sold his construction company for a lot of money and is a long-time Elks ticket holder, business leader and fan.

I’ve called the Stamps “Jeckell & Hyde” this season - yesterday they were that within a single game.

1-3 last week.

18-18 overall now.

This is by far the hardest it's been to call games in the CFL. Every week is just a complete crap shoot of which team on either side is showing up.

SSK @ OTT: Harris is back? Maybe? Ottawa is a better team though. OTT.
CGY @ TOR: TOR, pick the opposite result from last week
HAM @ MTL: MTL
BC @ EDM: anyone? Bueller? BC.

I'd love to be able to say that about the Ticats. So far they're mostly just Dr. Jekyll. And the fans have to "hyde" after every well-deserved loss.

Too many new faces and new starters. There's also local critique of the coaching (especially on defence) and scouting, with good reason.

Maybe without the pressure to turn things around the team can be loose and dangerous and dare I say... entertaining. Because I fear that's the only hope remaining.

The Elks need to keep starting Ford, he gives them a much better chance at winning than MBT.

Also, pretty wild to see Javon Leake set a speed record for the last 12 months. Maybe he will be splitting the starting RB position with Brown when he is back?

Went to the Edmonton Riverhawks baseball game on Sat. Big crowd, fun time. I was discussing with a friend about attendance for the Elks games and he said he could never find the figures mentioned in recaps or highlights or on the CFL website. Are they purposely hiding it because it is poor? I haven't been to a football game in awhile but remember how much fun it was years ago.

^very poor, primarily due to terrible on-field performance, mismanagement, and a name change that rubbed many the wrong way.

I'd guess they are in the 12-15,000 range, 20-22 might be a season high.

Literally everyone I know have given their season tickets up in the last 3 years, including us.

I watched the Edmonton-BC game on TV yesterday and there were noticeably more fans in attendance than previous games.

According to 3DownNation ... "The crowd of 18,447 was one of the biggest of the year at Commonwealth Stadium with many new fans surely coming to see the phenom Tre Ford after his magic against the Saskatchewan Roughriders last week."

2-2 to remain at .500. 20-20.

OTT @ CGY: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. No idea here. OTT is one of the poorest 5-2-1 team I've ever seen. CGY is just inconsistent. Pick the home team. CGY.
MTL @ SSK: MTL
EDM @ HAM: EDM
WPG @ BC: WPG

And for curiosity sake, going forward...coin flips:
OTT @ CGY: OTT
MTL @ SSK: SSK
EDM @ HAM: HAM
WPG @ BC: BC
