It's supposed to be a sugar design?? I thought it was just supposed to be some abstract art pattern. I don't get the sugar connection at all unless it's just because the patches are white? But lots of stuff is white so that would be pretty weak.

But regardless I totally agree except I wouldn't want them in Yorkville either. Or anywhere else in within the old city limits. Mississauga would be ok or maybe Scarborough Town Centre. Probably too tall for NYCC but maybe some place along Sheppard.

Although to be honest, Concord Sky bothers me more since I don't like their designs either and they're even larger and will be more prominent.

Provide housing. Talk about the lowest of the lowest standards for a residential development.

Units are small but, not Entertainment District small. There's also the potential to enclose the large wrap around balconies. The biggest drawback to Sugar Wharf rising above an investor Airbnb ghetto is the number of floors and the number of units.

Yeah, supposedly the design is supposed to be based on grains of sugar...but it looks incredibly messy. It's a huge miss of a design and is pretty ugly from the lake.

Oy... with stuff like this I just can't. There's nothing wrong with drawing on real world connections to find design meaning or inspiration. But the connection either has to be recognizable to the casual observer or it has to look good on its own merits without the help of the the underlying connection. This fails on both for me. I had no idea there was supposed to be some real world inspiration and it's also not attractive on the scale of a large building.
