They haven't started actual construction yet. This is still demolition. The last time I checked, their land development permit was "ready to issue" meaning he only needs to pay the fees to begin construction.

Like this building a lot. Love all the earthy-toned structures we've been getting lately.

Do we know how much more those towers in front of PWC have to go before topping out? Would be wild to not be able to see PWC from that vantage point, but would be nice at the same time.

The taller one has about four more floors. Should be able to still see pwc.

Less new projects to post about. Thankfully some of the posters here are doing a great job of keeping us updated on progress of the developments that are already underway. You can always join them in helping if you think there aren’t enough posts. I’m sure people would be grateful, but imo we don’t have anything to complain about.

I thought the towers were supposed to be 33 floors and 36 floors respectively. Did this change? The north tower is currently on the 36th floor.

What’s going on across from the public storage/QT on Northside. Looks like the parking lot is being torn up. I noticed on the Stella webcam…

Welcome. I've noticed we do it different than a lot of other cities forums. Not sure why.

Excited to have you contribute. Your photos look great!

LCP Group Provides Construction Financing for 183-Room Moxy-Branded Hotel in Downtown Atlanta

The LCP Group has provided an undisclosed amount of construction financing for the development of Moxy Centennial Olympic Park, a 183-room hotel in Atlanta’s downtown entertainment district. The developer is a partnership between Atlanta-based Nexera Capital and Emerge Hospitality Group.

Upon completion, the property will feature 13 stories, with a rooftop restaurant and lounge, lobby bar and ground-level retail space. The hotel’s opening is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

Hub Cypress updates from Urbanize. This is the proposed apartment tower behind the Academy of Medicine in Midtown.

The tower had previously called for 295 apartments geared toward students, or 1,211 beds, with no commercial space.

According to Core’s application this week, the Hub Cypress building will see 265 student apartments—and a 1,600-square-foot coffeeshop space that fronts 7th Street sidewalks. All vehicles would access the building from an entry on Cypress Street.

Applicants note that a MARTA tunnel directly beneath the property will prohibit below-grade development.

Revised designs calls for 161 parking spaces in three levels, starting above the first level. Roughly 75 of those spaces will be reserved for Georgia Tech events at the Academy of Medicine next door, per the latest filings.

In light of the building’s student uses, a lower volume of vehicle traffic is anticipated, as most residents are expected to either walk or take public transit as primary means of transportation, per the development team.
