The new Humane society building now has the foundation footings all poured. They have back filled the foundation walls and appear to be grading and installing capped out utility services within the shell. Should see grading and prep soon with the ground floor slab poured in the coming weeks. Structural steel and ground floor concrete poured walls and concrete block soon after.

The LTC building at 1390 Dundas Street to the west has now started forming for the foundation footings. Still don't see this project page on the City's planning website but there is info about the permits on the permit site. The city websites are truly trash.

I think the reason we may not be seeing a webpage for 1390 Dundas St is because there may have been no need for a Zoning By-law Amendment as the property is already zoned Regional Facility (RF, which allows for nursing homes) because it used to be part of the Psych Hospital lands. This project may have only required Site Plan approval and then a Building Permit which I don't believe triggers the creation of a webpage.

For some reason there has been zero progress on installing the remaining structural steel for this building. They don't appear to have returned to work since before the holiday break.

Looks like they have restarted installing the structural steel posts and cross beams as apparently they got a delivery of the steel. Some screw-up must have happened with the logistics as you would think they would have had the delivery thought out in advance.

Wrapping up the structural steel installation this week with the steel roof sheeting likely to start within days. Should see the below slab utilities being installed soon afterwards.

Tuesday afternoon. Doesn't really show the depth that well, this is a pretty large building.

Looks like the prep for the roofing contractor has started as they have basically finished the exterior wall framing.

Looks like roofing contractor has made progress installing the roof and work starting on trim. The exterior walls are framed up and sheeted. Should see window and glass modules soon followed by exterior insulation boards. Can't tell if they have poured any of the floor slab sections yet.

Some of the window framing has started going in on the west side and some of the windows are now installed on the south side.

They have now installed the rooftop HVAC units and chillers. Building some concrete block walls on the east side and work continues installing the steel framing for windows. Apparently they are still $500K short of their fund raising goal.

Exterior siding is now being installed on the east wall of this building. The city has redone the sidewalk and curbs along Dundas St from the rail crossing to the entrance drive to the LPH property.
