If you're desperate enough, have a 20 minute soak in a cool bath.
Nothing is faster or more effective than immersion to alter your core body temperature.
Even a little bit and you'll feel much better.
That's the only way I got through the last two summers before I got my portable air conditioner.
I hate baths but was willing to try it as I was feeling ill from the onset of heatstroke.
If you try it, don't torture yourself by getting into a cold bath.
Start lukewarm so you can just get in and get immersed as much as possible.
After you're used to it, run some cold water and get the water as cool as you can stand.
Stay immersed for at least twenty minutes.
It takes at least that much time to alter your core temperature.
You'll feel restored and refreshed after and you'll probably be good for a few hours.
