I watched a bit of the planning stream - York said they would raise the height of the single storey building to 8m (to give it the appearance of 2s) and it appears that planning staff are satisfied with that.

However there still are outstanding concerns of pedestrian circulation (with respect to the townhouses). So planning committee unanimously voted to refer this back to staff to try and sort out those issues with York. Goes to full council on April 4th.

For the 3rd time, the public meeting for this proposed redevelopment will be on October 23rd at the Planning and Environment committee meeting.

I don't see any difference between this version and the 2nd version (from March). Planning staff raised concerns about pedestrian circulation last time so Council voted to refer this back to staff, but the site plan looks the exact same.

Council approved the zoning changes for York's recent proposal for this site (no McDonalds as the title suggests)

Looks like York has already set up their project pages for this development. They will be calling this "Sommerston".
