Ashcroft just strung four days in a row topping 40. Always an amazing feat for a Canadian location.

Castlegar, Kamloops and Penticton were all close with rounded 40 degree highs (Castlegar 39.9, Kamloops 39.8, Penticton 39.5)

Lytton & Lillooet X 2
Kamloops, Kelowna, Osoyoos, Warfield X 1

PS, nice to see you Denscity!
Hey Metro, where do you check these readings? I found Kelowna at a high of 38.4c yesterday on EC.

Edit: I see it on EC as yesterdays data max.

21C and showers in Moncton at 11 AM. Rain and thundershowers all day. Part of this is Beryl moisture. The bulk of the rain will pass north of Moncton, but, the precipitation we're getting is much appreciated. Everything looks lush and green.

Have been on project sites the last few days. Wearing full PPE is tough. One site is in a big open field with white gravel around it. one of the guys recorded a temp of 40C at ground level.

Popsicles, Freezy pops and ice are all in full supply on sites. (The only food allowed on the site). Looking at 30 today and down to 26 tomorrow. But still up around 29 all next week.

Sat on the deck until midnight last night. Still 26 when I finally crashed. Glad I have AC.

My summer student is from Kelowna and she even complained about the heat yesterday.

Still no major Thunder storms in our area but you an see them building during the day.

Talked with a friend in Houston. Lost some trees from Beral. But he is ok. His sun need a new roof on his house ad his daughter had her AC torn out. Remnants now in Canada. Brother was on his way to his pace in NB from Toronto, said it was raining so hard they only mad it to Montreal. Says there were flooded streets in Montreal.

EC says we have a chance of rain Sat and Sunday but 31 mid week.

Cloudy and 21 (humidex 27, dew point 19) at 12:45PM. Much cooler than the past few days. A cooler day tomorrow, with highs near 18, before warming back up for more above seasonal and humid weather for the upcoming week.

I didn't see any flooding myself from the rain but we had plenty. My wife put this tarp over whatever flowers these are to protect them.

Holy rain... I believe we might have had a top 3 or maybe even wettest day ever. EC is saying 76mm for Dorval as of 9PM. Ogimet is showing 111mm from Beryl's remnants.

Made it up to 26C with a humidex of 34 shortly before noon. Hard to believe but the rain only started at noon. We remained over 20C even during the tropical rain. We finally dipped below 20C tonight.

Low of 22C (humidex of 26) this morning.

The warmspot was Warfield, BC at 40.5C

Warmest low was Lytton, BC at 23.7C.

Hello everyone!
You may recall I left after Castlegar hit an even 60 days of 30.0C or higher.
Well after I left we had a 61st day of 30.0C so I’m like well isn’t that interesting.
Fast forward to yesterday when we hit 39.9C at 5pm with some confidence that we had a real 40C day.
And I was correct.
Castlegar recorded an official 40.4C yesterday at the airport.
So I figured that was newsworthy enough of a temperature to login again.

Ha cheers!

Yes 10% humidity is the lowest I’ve ever seen in Canada. Surely Osoyoos or Lytton hits 9% maybe? Metro might know.

Not sure if I’m coming back on a regular basis? But appreciate the warm welcome backs.

We also had a humidex of 41 but that’s kind of hilarious as the high was only two or three degrees cooler lol.

Calgary officially hit 34 yesterday but I saw a few weather stations saying 36 or 37. I really wish my house had AC right now.

Gonna be hot and sunny this weekend though. I’ll be there both days checking out 17 properties. Normally I’d have pants and a polo on since it’s technically for business purposes. But I don’t think anyone will mind if I go shorts and shirtless. I might even jump in the Rideau.

Yeah its been super hot here, seeing +40 and higher for days in a row... However I've been told we can expect smoke to start working its way in soon from the Okanagan.

Weve had to shut off the pool heater days ago and were still at +87F in the water.

Muggy moody and misty at Charleston Lake PP. Great day to canoe cause it wasn't sunny. Not just stuck baking in the middle of a lake.

The sun did try to peak out a couple times

Ha well, as the former lone BC Interior forumer on the weather thread I felt a provincial and national duty to report the highest recorded temperatures in Canada every year.

And thank you!

This is just going off memory, so I could be wrong, but I believe I saw 7% once in Ashcroft.
