I especially like the winding path idea like the one from Millenium Park to Maggie Daley Park.

This part could be achieved without enormous amounts of money needed.

the beach + fountain feature (is that what that is?) would be a real hit with the kiddos. I'm lucky to live a block from Crown fountain for my toddler to go splash around in, weather permitting...

There are finally pending permits for the Invest South/West project, Thrive Exchange (7905 S Exchange). 6 stories, 43 units, no on-site parking but Metra will build an adjacent parking lot. It's unfortunate that most of the Invest South/West projects didn't pencil out, I saw that the site for the Bronzeville one on 47th St is being sold on ChiBlockBuilder.

* FRWIC the model here seems to be a bit more modest than the preliminary renders of the landbridge that have been put forth as part of the LSD/Oak Street redevelopment. I think there should be a decent chance of the LSD/Oak/Michigan Ave interchange looking radically different in the next 5 years.

* I love the idea of a complete refurbishing of Water Tower Place and giving it a new skin.

* I don't much like the idea of reimagining Jane Byrne Plaza. It is basically fine and dignified as is. Put some different pavers on the streets immediately around the square and it's good to go.

It's a bit frustrating how long the bridge is for such a short physical distance. I get the need to make it accessible, but the addition of some stairs would also make it much more efficient for a lot of people (e.g. the bridge across LSD just north of North ave. has both a ramp and stairs).
