My kid is 7 and loves Coney, and we've been taking him since he was 4, I think?

There are lots of kiddie-type attractions in Luna Park, which is the best of the amusement parks.

You can also go on a weekday for much lighter crowds.

Thanks! I think seeing the crowds will be part of the fun. I've never been to Coney Island but how does it compare with Venice Beach?

We're planning on going to Coney Island and then maybe the TWA hotel and pool later in the day to see the planes.

I guess they're similar places in that they're both a bit weird, but they have different vibes. Coney is much more ride & amusement-oriented and has more for kids. A bit more family oriented, I think.

Kids will definitely like the sharks at the Coney Island Aquarium. They have an enormous newer shark exhibit, which is pretty cool.
