Haha I was mentally prepared for me reacting like this, but I came to NYC with an open mind.

So this was like my 6th time in NYC, but only the first time I actually tried NYC bagels. I tuned out my Montreal-bias and went for it. I had bagels everyday I was there in the form of a breakfast bagel (I don't know if eating a bagel sans-creme cheese or toppings is a thing in NYC like it is in MTL) and my main take-away is that The NYC bagel is superior in the form of a sandwich. It's thick, it's full and it's perfect for spreading creme cheese and toppings like eggs. The MTL bagel makes this operation a bit more difficult.

In sum, I was relieved and pleasantly surprised with the NYC bagel, I like it a lot!
