seems summer in BC is cancelled. Almost July and not even a single 30+c day forecasted for Kelowna. And even in the eastern suburbs of Vancouver temps are barely reaching the low 20s.

I'm pretty pissed

Turned out into a decent St-Jean-Baptiste...
26C with a humidex of 29 and sunny this afternoon.

Morning however were the worst conditions I have seen in a maybe a month. 15C rainy, gusty.

The warmspot was Winnipeg (The Forks), MB at 30.8C.

Warmest low was Windsor, ON at 18.1C.

As someone chased from their home from wildfires last summer I am ok with this

Not to dismiss you, but it's only been actual summer for four days. I've heard as many people complain about the heat as about the cold. Usually when it stops raining everyone seems pretty happy. The fire risk is it's own thing, clearly something is going on with the climate, and being too cold isn't the main problem. I am glad there hasn't been a major heat wave yet, but it may well happen before September. I've been using my car's A/C anyway, and tomorrow's supposed to be 24C, it may even happen.

We hit a high of 28C today, and after running errands downtown, I went for a walk through the old Evergreen brickworks site to take some photos. I saw some deer, a rabbit and a few bees:

A welcome break today. Fog, drizzle. Barely 10C.

And good news from the last month, ha!

EDIT: And now considerably less welcome heavy rain.

+ 28c in Kamloops, but Rain this afternoon, rained over night last night and the night before as well. Its getting up to +25 during the day, but it doesn't feel like normal at all. Were usually in the lake in Vernon or Osoyoos for Canada day but there is ZERO chance of that happening this year. Its way to cold in the water to swim in any lake around here right now.

Meanwhile, an out of control wildfire is getting dangerously close to Churchill Falls.

I'm not worried. Our luck makes it obvious that it will not burn until Quebec hands us the keys in 2041.

It's STILL heavy raining. There's definitely flooding happening somewhere as we're not used to actual big raindrops (as opposed to misty fog and drizzle) for any extended period of time. I guess we'll see it on the news later lol

It's so loud.

Even in Southern ON things are trending cooler. My area has only had 7 days over 30.0C , with nothing forecasted over the next two weeks. It's been quite wet since April here, and temps look to trend below normal for July.

We had some rain around noon then it became muggy again, high of 25.3 with humidex of 33. Will be muggy with a few showers again tomorrow.

Last night was around 22 and tonight will remain over 20 as well, but the temp dropped to 19.4 with the rain today and another cold front is coming tomorrow evening so neither of these will register as official 20+ lows. I haven't done the analysis yet, but there could be as many as three actual tropical nights for every one official 20+ low in the stats. I'm probably going to use 9pm to 9am as the window whenever I get around to this

28C with a humidex of 32 and sunny. There was a bit of a breeze. Close to perfection really. Obviously, I want some scorchers mixing in as well during summer but days like today, I would gladly take from June to September.

Low of 16C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 32.3C.

Warmest low was Point Pelee, ON at 20.3C.

Yesterday was a beautiful 28c and sun/cloud mix, absolutely perfect for a game of late June softball.

We have a low pressure system moving in starting today, seeing a high of 24c with a chance of up to 5mm of rain. Pretty seasonal for this time of year, pretty much bang on to average.
