This will be the nicest tower on scott until maybe 2026 or 2050 goes up. No doubt bout that.

Still not as nice as 2004's Metropole across the trench!

Crane coming down today. It will be nice to see the cladding go up as this is quite prominently visible all over Westboro.

This cool. Can't help but wonder what black windows in between the fins would look like though. Might be a little bold?

I had the same thought. The fins would have stood out more. That said, this was the architects design decision, not any sort of value engineering, so I'll respect the original concept.

Its simple and I wish the "fins" on the tower portion where more noticeable, but it still is a high quality project and Unique in ottawa at this point. Clearly not a copy and paste design.

Agreed, was cycling NB on Churchill the other day and was surprised by the prominence of this tower, despite not being overly tall. It's especially eye-catching as you come down the hill towards Richmond Rd. I was thinking at the time that if the fins were more pronounced, as was originally proposed, it would've been a great spot for that design. It's a good-looking project nonetheless - much better than what we've seen further east down Scott St.

That's a fair assessment. I haven't actually seen it in person since the tower cladding started but my impression through the photos is that it is some interpretation of International style office building which is fairly prevalent in Ottawas CBD.

All in all looking pretty decent and I need to get my booty out to Westboro and area for another walk around before the weather turns.

Side note, second photo in the last set (the 3/4 angle) looks like a render!

The wavy fins are super obvious in person. Very impressive.

Looks really good. Sometimes I feel like Ottawa has turned a corner in terms of design/construction quality.....othertimes RLA proves me wrong.
