Back when New York was capitol of the 7 Kingdoms, that was a common sight.

I love love love that shot! Such a unique perspective of so many icons. I've always been fascinated by that pyramid top residential tower on the left since I was a kid (100 United Nations Plaza).

Okay can someone explain to me as a Midwesterner why the Dragon on the Empire State Building gets regulatory approval in NYC but tons of other projects have to go through tons of jumps and hoops to get even a shovel in the ground? Like I think this does look cool but like how does THIS get approval and tons of other things don't?

It’s a balloon, and it’s temporary.

Amazing - they're at the top now.

It's been a long time coming but this building is really here now and finally a part of New York.

What a stellar-looking building!!

While there's still a bit to go with getting some base cladding, it's looking like this will be "topped off" with glass by the end of July! After seeing this in person in January, I'm excited to revisit it later this summer (hopefully fully-clad by then)

I can't get enough of looking at this building, and we have to appreciate the amount of planning, work, and effort it took take make this beauty a reality.
