Forgot about Point Roberts, but that's cut off by another country. I guess Minnesota has one of those too created by the international border.

Boise from the Ponderosa Pine Overlook ~ nearly 3000 feet above the valley

Views from the Boise National Forest.

The Boise National Forest is over 2.6 million acres and one of the largest national forests in the nation and borders the largest roadless, mountainous alpine wilderness in the Lower 48.
Here is a screenshot of the location I was at in The Boise Mountains, near Bogus Basin and directly above Boise. The Owyhee Mountain range is on the opposite side of the valley beyond the Snake River Canyon.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse
