So why not imagine the Twin Towers of the WTC on West Hudson Yards? And maybe even those of Foster's 2002 WTC project?

Not sure the exact date and time these pictures were taken, but judging from the green foliage and clear blue, deep blue sky, these pictures could have very well been taken between 8:00 am and 8:46 am on September 11, 2001.

Picture captions say before September 11, 2001, but that might mean before the plane impacts on the morning of September 11, 2001.

Nevertheless, this is probably as close an image to what the towers looked like from Church Street and the plaza in the hour to last few minutes before the first plane hit.
