Damn those models are so sick. The detail on them is next level.

I love the Tower Life Building but it looks so funny next to that IFC Guangzhou model

I'll take some pictures later today after work. I have 3 new blocks finished, but they're nothing major in the skyline.

I made a big base map of everything I'd like to include in the model.

Some skyline pics.

New blocks.

Thanks, Gilly, I appreciate it.

Only if it's at someone's place. This base is about 5ft x 3ft. There's no way I'm lugging that up to Zanzibar.

On a side note, my last 3 videos on IG are Austin ones, if anyone wants to see more.

Awesome progress.

Any ideas on the next buildings you're doing? I'd imagine just from the shapes (and similarities between them),the easiest next couple to cover could be the Chase (Procore?) Building (221 W. 6th), PlainsCapitalBank building (201 W. 5th), and 300 Colorado.

Then again, it'd be amazing to see 600 Congress and the Waterline, whenever those might be planned

The next blocks will be the Independent and Northshore. I was planning on the Independent first, but I need to test the shapes first, and I haven't had time to print and assemble them yet. So I started drawing Northshore in the meantime.

The Chase Tower block would be easy to draw; maybe after these two, I could do that one quickly. I'll hold off on the Plains Capital block due to the proposed Hilton tower there. There are plenty of blocks without active proposals that I can draw first.

600 Congress will have complicated shapes, however the facade drawing should be simple. I hope I end up doing it justice.

And Waterline... I would love to do Waterline. Unless Kairoi (hint hint ) lets me use their 3D model as a reference, I'll have to wait until next year when it's finished.

Progress so far vvv

So badass!!! You’ve made a lot of progress since the last round!
I need to buy you a little mini demo crew so we can have little funny mockups when the smaller buildings u have built get redeveloped!
Be fun to have mini cranes too where projects are under construction

Have you considered filling the models once glued?

I’d turn a test model over and use a spray adhesive in the interior and let that dry to give it some rigidity. Then fill it with drying General Electric spray foam to give it structure.

They might be too fragile for the process to work, but the potential payoff might be worth the test.
