The building looks modern enough but admittedly it lacks the charm that the old Miami Dade City and County building held. Sure, it’s taller, but that’s the only quality that the new proposal beholds. Still hoping that the city of Miami can move back to downtown rather than staying holed up in Coconut Grove!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami-...nty_Courthouse

This new tower does not have the charm and the aesthetics of the old Miami-Dade Courthouse. Will the City of Miami have any plans of moving into the old Miami-Dade Building, or does Miami-Dade County want to sell the building. If MDC plans to sell, then it would be best to strengthen the structural deficiencies and convert this building into a residential tower.

Personally, it would've been best if the city and county had worked together to strengthen the structural weaknesses of the Miami-Dade Building, considering that this building was once the home of the City of Miami and MDC, and I was hoping that the City of Miami moves there once more and makes the Miami-Dade Building it's City Hall again, but the future of this building needs to be widely considered, and now I believe that the building's future relies on it being preserved and converted into residential.
