This one has been such a long time coming. What is it now, five years or more?

Hopefully it will be built to the last set of renders. Smart looking building.

It looks like they're starting to move on this, the site has been fenced off.

OOPS!
https://flic.kr/p/2q6Gc6i

Good thing nobody was hurt, but it's crazy how they had traffic going though while they were doing this.

Spectacular fail. Is there a version with audio and/or in landscape orientation? I hope they had Churchill blocked to cars and pedestrians. That could’ve easily killed someone.

Wow.. thats pretty wild.

At the end of the video you can see the lane of traffic is closed off with fire services on site and the hoarded is taped off etc.

Perhaps at some point during the demolition they realized it was just going to happen this way and made the necessary precautions?

I remember a few years back there was a similar video of a demolition in Vancouver and it was more like a 2 story brick wall tipped into the street. Very much unplanned in that case.

The Ogilvy's Rideau façade partially collapse as well during demolition. Seems demo crews are just bad at bringing down brick buildings. They don't understand how real brick responds to these types of pressures.
