Does anyone know what the latest update is with TOWER 2 (e.g. closing date, walk-throughs, etc.)?

For TOWER 1, when are people moving in?

All the FB posts seem to have changed from Move in Spring 2024 to Move in 2024. It sure would be nice to get some more definite dates from the developer.

Reading between the lines that "As the occupancy date approaches..." and a Craigslist listing for a June 15th move-in date, sounds like Tower 1 is possibly moving in soon.

I haven't heard anything about when Tower 2 + Tower 3 are doing walk-throughs, but given they are still building the penthouses in both towers, I would assume that those walk throughs won't be happening until July-August time.
Nice to see they have not repeated the same mistakes of Plaza 88 in New West. Every surface that isn't the skytrain guideway or columns is finished with high quality materials and not left as exposed concrete with the overall feeling of a dank basement.

Received today "Your home at Gilmore Place Tower 2 is almost ready! ... We are currently preparing for early June pre-delivery inspections."

FYI, I believe the design is for there to be a bike lane from Lougheed up to the driveway. No idea why that's the design, but if you head up to Lougheed last I saw you can see the bike path roughed in.

Yeah. Entire Lougheed - Boundary to North road has a bike lane. Which is nice.
Western side of Gilmore has a bike lane in form of multi use pathway, which is fine for when there aren’t many pedestrians mixed in. This may change once all towers get completed

I meant that the east side of Gilmore will have a bike lane... just not all the way to Dawson.

I'm liking the dark / warm gray palette on the podium.

The only thing I can think of is that with the high pedestrian volume transit plaza, it's thought of a mixed area where bikes are supposed to slow down and mix with pedestrians crossing over.
That would be just short of a "walk bikes" area like seen along the Stanley Park seawall.
i.e. it prevents cyclists from plowing through the area.

They couldn't make this development more depressing and monochromatic if they tried

The brand-new, mixed-use complex with Metro Vancouver’s new tallest building will be home to a large T&T Supermarket location.

The Asian grocery chain announced today it will be opening a new major store within the first phase of the Gilmore Place mixed-use complex in the Brentwood Town Centre district of Burnaby.

...

This will be a 55,000 sq ft store, making it one of the chain’s larger stores — featuring the full range of T&T’s assortment, including Asian snacks, produce, live seafood, bakery, skincare, gifts, and in-store prepared food, as well as popular street foods like popcorn chicken, sticky rice wraps, and Chinese crepes.

...

T&T Supermarket will effectively become an anchor tenant — one of the largest businesses of the significant commercial retail space component at the Gilmore Place complex, a development by Onni Group.

...

Other businesses have yet to be announced, with T&T Supermarket being the first revelation. The store is scheduled to open in Summer 2025.

Waiting for occupancy permit. Expected move in to be end of June.
I'm guessing they need to finish the sidewalk/public areas as one of the conditions.

My guess is $1100-1300/psf depending on whether it's a 1 or 2 bedroom. The larger the unit, the lower the PSF.

I totally thought this was going to be a City Market when I heard Loblaws was leasing space here - Given the proximity of the 1st Ave T&T and how they've historically kept same-banner stores as far away from each other as possible

Looking back I guess that only applies to their big-box banner Superstore. The pocket of T&Ts on 1st Ave, Kingsway, Metrotown and Gilmore are about 4-5km~ from their next closest location.

I'm glad it's a T&T especially with a Whole Foods and Save-on nearby.

All three Richmond T&Ts (Osaka included) are closer to each other than 1st & Renfrew is to Gilmore & Lougheed. If it's working in Richmond, I don't see why it wouldn't work in East Van/Burnaby.

Great to see another grocer in the area and one built into this development; Frankly I think it's a little embarrassing that The Amazing Brentwood doesn't currently have a grocery store in the mall...

This is totally a missed opportunity from the Shape Properties leasing team.

SHAPE is too focused on attracting LV / Holts to open up their first Burnaby store

T&T as a neighbour might have just raised the psf by $100 across the board.
