The Ritz is dead. But something will be built on the site eventually.

^^^Yes. M2 Development has some major financial (and legal) issues. They were forced to sell their land for the Nashville Ritz and are being sued for millions in unpaid expenses.

Meh. That spot could use some better architecture anyway. The height was nice but the design was not, IMO.

Agreed--no more disjointed lines. We must ban that style.

Don't underestimate our willingness to complain about a plateau on this forum, bro...

In my day, the plateau was a paltry 300 feet, and half of that was parking! AND WE LIKED IT

Is Wilson capital the new lot owners here? I don’t remember them being part of the original development team, and the recent financial issues makes this even more mysterious

Genesis Realty Group (Travis developer) still owns the site as far as I know. Travis Co. property records confirms this. Their sale of the Travis #2 site aka 80 Red River to M2 Development (Ritz-Carlton developer) never closed. I know Wilson Capital features 80 Red River prominently on their website, but I don't know what their connection is to anything at 80 Red River.

It's unprofessional and quite disingenuous to list 80 Red River and one of Wilson Capital's projects.

Even though their website states that it was "Built by Executives at Wilson Capital" - it is wrong to list it as one of Wilson Capital's projects. The optics are bad.

I believe Wilson did hire an executive or two who may have been involved in some capacity with 80 Red River. How involved they were could be called into question.

In any case, Wilson had zero to do with its development. We all know Wilson cannot construct anything like 80 Red River. They can't even finish their apartment complexes on time and on budget.
