Crane count: while numbers have a diminished a bit with projects topping out, there are still 183 active cranes in the City of Toronto and another 41 in Mississauga/Peel.
Setting aside, Kelowna does have a lot of parallels with Kitchener Waterloo. Like really hideous generic towers on parking podiums,acres of parking lots and endless suburban sprawl.
Kirkor and Empire sure ain’t the dream team and thankfully well-hidden in this waterfront view… and covering up a chunk of Daniels twin turds!, so props for that.

This gorgeous Wilkinson Eyre pedestrian bridge design called “Equinox” was won the international design competition for a new pedestrian connecting Quayside to the new parks of Villiers Island over the Keating Channel.
Indigenous consultants Two Row Architect and Zeidler were on the design team. The orientation of the bridge’s curves align with the summer solstice sunset and the winter solstice sunrise. The Feds have kicked in $9million towards construction.
The winning design also complements the curves of all the other new bridges. Below you can glimpse the Cherry Street twins and the 2 span Commissioners Street Bridge, in front of the of the large Pinewood Studios complex on the eastern part of the Portlands.
Second Tallest (110.1 metres + 7 m mechanical penthouse)
115m total height in the final design. They changed up the penthouse a couple of times. I was speaking to the developer directly today, we are doing the spray foam and fire stop in that building.
