Back last night. Went from 28C and tropical humidity (dewpoint of 25C) to 3C and rain. Could have been worse.

Up to 5C today. Rain early this morning but it did clear a bit later this afternoon.

The warmspot was Bedford Range, NS at 11.5C.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 8.7C.

^ I've always known it as a toaster oven. I've heard people call it a pizza oven as well. I use mine daily to toast......toast.

A short walk along Commercial Drive on another beautiful day. Despite 'The Drive' being my neighbourhood's high street, I rarely take photos of it. I had to go to the pharmacy this afternoon, so I brought my camera and an 85mm lens along for the walk.

^ Those trees in the 3rd from last are super cool. What's happening there? A combination of vines and mosses? Also what kind of trees in general? They have neat branching.

Decent day here. Sunny. Sun is also starting to set somewhat over Lake Ontario.

Moss and ferns growing right on the bark, no vines. That occurs in our forests especially on the Bigleaf Maple, Acer Macrophyllum. SignalHill is right, thanks to all the rain along with the deeply ridged bark.

If Gaillo tells us what street that is I can confirm what species but they do look like they are A. Macrophyllum.
The branching, especially on the right is mainly due to pruning around the utility lines.

Low of -6.8 overnight, hovering around that temp for about seven hours. That was finally enough to kill the pokeweed growing in my front garden. It's interesting to see how much certain plants can handle.

Yesterday morning it survived -4, but it was only that cold for less than an hour

The passion flower plant is surprisingly tough, last year it stayed lush and green until the Christmas blizzard, which dropped to -17 with 100km/h winds. Survived last night no problem

A chilly -7C and sunny in Moncton at 11 AM. This is by far the coldest day of the fall so far. It feels like full on winter..........

Thanks. In that case those trees are Elm, mostly Siberian Elm with some American Elm and Brandon Elm.

High of 0 today - I think that makes it the coldest day yet this fall. A bit of snow this morning, but nothing that stuck. Second time this year for that, including Halloween.

Cold week ahead, with some highs below freezing.

It’s cool, light flurries. Brunch at my parents’. I really lucked out with my bus commute. If I had to do this way every day I’d need a car. Nearest bus stop to my parents that has a Saturday route is 28 minutes walk away to the hellscape of Kenmount Road. And it’ll take me an hour and a half to get home. But I get to see the hub at the Avalon Mall instead of my usual Village Mall.

I was at my local Nissan dealership yesterday and due to a combination of Black Friday sales, nearby construction and high interest rates, not a single vehicle customer showed up, apparently the slowest day in years. Anyway, the bored sales staff went to Mary Browns for lunch lol. (SHH bus shelter photo looks like a MBs takeout bag ha.)

401 today was packed, the afternoon sun slowing traffic to 60kph through the airport area this afternoon. I'm getting a taste of what the KW to T.O. commuter life must be like: such a waste of life ugh.

Anyway, winter jacket and toque weather. A farmer was harvesting corn sileage with his late 70s MF equipment near Milton.

Friday night in Palmerston, Ontario a surprising number of people out walking, mostly young families. It's astonishing the number of Caribbean and Punjabi Canadians who've moved to small town North Perth/Minto.
