They're so close to the bottom of the last page that I'm bumping these.

Took a look at the 2020 temperature normals data in Toronto to look at how the weather is changing..

Overall, average daily highs have increased by about 0.5 degrees since 2010. Since 2000, it's been about 0.7 degrees warmer. In 2000, the median daily high was 12.6 degrees vs. 13.3 today.

Overall, you can see a clear trend where temperature growth is most stark in the fall. Summer is increasingly stretching further into September now, which has seen a median daily high temperutare increase by +1.3 degrees in the last 20 years.

Comparatively, the spring weather is warming much slower. May has barely seen any changes, with temperatures increasing by just 0.3 degrees.

Charts confirm the perception. Winter seems to be getting delayed, not really starting until after Christmas. On the flip side, spring feels delayed also, although the chart still shows it has warmed up slightly. We have had a lot of God awful starts to spring lately. Honestly I'd rather take a cold snowy December and the increased anomalies during early spring. That said, I wouldn't want to lose the warmer September/October . Just give me winter in December and everything else can be warmer.

It has been a wet few days in the valley bottom, today we hit a high of 9c and Rain.

But rain this time of year in Kelowna means one thing, Big white is getting hammered with snow! Check these webcam shots....opening day is only 16 days away!!

Hmm, that's pretty high up too! I wonder how high that mountain goes, maybe 1900M?

The summit is about 2285m or almost 7500'. It is the 10th highest ski resort in Canada.

For perspective, Kelowna is at 344m or 1128' so it is a bit of a climb up to the ski hill.

It's been loudly raining for hours, off and on. Hopefully it dies down before the day begins.

The wind made it brisk last night, but it was a decent evening for a stroll.
