I thought you had a tree up between the weekend after American Thanksgiving and Russian Christmas?

Thinking about SHH, I found myself in Sobeys today buying gluten-free bread on sale for $5.99 (Northern Bakehouse.) Then I see they now carry gluten-free battered fish, so I made an unhealthy fish burger with fries supper.

Sunny and with a cold wind, why did I leave my winter coat in Toronto?

Hopefully it's just the Sobeys part that reminds you of me lol

It used to be December 24-Old Christmas Day for us, morning of the 7th I think. But... I'm a lost cause now. November 1 to the end of February. Not sorry lol

Bah, my eyes! November is for Remembrance Day and the later Thanksgiving. I was already disturbed by PC optimum promotions for the holidays being released November 1st. And seeing Christmas products at a Shoppers near me on the 28th of October.

We're heading for 9 c today in a mix of sun and cloud and with a chance of a shower. This should make quick work of melting the remaining bits of snow.
Our forecast for Saturday is a high of 15 c mostly cloudy with sunny breaks. Last night's sunset and sky colour...

If that's your own personal patio, it is quite expansive. You must have a penthouse unit.

Great view!

Up to 13C with sunny conditions. More overcast later in the day.

Some trees are completely bare while other are completely green. It's that time of the year.

Low of 5C this morning.

The warmspot was Toronto, ON at 15.6C

Warmest low was at Sisters Islands, BC at 10.9C.

Shortly after moving in here post tropical storm Lee hit Nova Scotia with sustained winds of approx. 100 kph in this area. Zero drama with near silence indoors and with most plants and furniture tucked-in against the building it was zero drama outside too. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. In general, I'd say the wind up here is similar to the wind at ground level with the exception of at the corners of the building which can be avoided by stepping outside or inside of that relatively narrow windflow. Prevailing winds change seasonally here so it's too soon to know what an entire year will look like. We'll be away most of the winter so I'm considering aiming a web-cam so that I may monitor where snow drifts might sit. Bedford Basin is approx. 15 km inland from the open ocean and is surrounded by higher land.

At 11 am it's 12 c under mostly cloudy skies and heading for a forecast high of 14 c.

We have already talked about it but for me it is always incredible that in such a cold and stormy area like Nova Scotia there are apartments with such large balconies and terraces. These outdoor structures are more typical of Mediterranean and tropical climates. You're lucky

We Canadians are a hardy bunch. In my younger days, I can clearly remember barbecuing on the deck in my backyard in January during a snowstorm, wearing only a light jacket, and with a beer in one hand.

Ask any American if they would ever consider such a thing.

The outdoor space is making the transition from a house to a condo much much easier. The view is an added bonus.

Mild and overcast.

Took these on an old railway trestle bridge turned bike/walking path, a little west of Peterborough. It's actually part of the Trans-Canada trail.

Car was showing 19 C driving around downtown Vancouver in the sun today. Shocking as the day started out miserable and wet.

If you’re going to live outside downtown, that’s the way to do it. Great views.
