I am creating a Jacksonville P&C thread because it is surprising that for an MSA of 1.35 million with a 1.8% annual growth rate there isn’t one already.
As with many other cities Jacksonville had a mini boom of high rise and project completions this past decade. With the economy taking its toll,
things have slowed down tremendously, but may be picking back up within a couple of years.
Below is a map just of downtown projects, and just a shortlist.
Below is a map of Urban Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Beach Communities Projects
-The beaches around Jacksonville from Amelia Island down to Palm Coast saw explosive growth. Palm Coast was the fastest growing community in America for a good chunk of the past decade (literally 100% retirees from New York). No projects or photos from Amelia Island or Palm Coast and very little outside of Jacksonville Beach, but here is a shortlist.
-Also, because this is a shortlist, there were a ton more projects completed and many more proposed. However, a jerk lady from Huntsville, AL who had just moved here spearheaded an effort to put a 35 ft. height moratorium on all beach communities, and this essentially killed
all development.
