The Inland Northwest is underrated, some great country east of the Cascades! Nice pics, thanks for posting!
When was that pic at Chinook Pass taken? Did they already open Chinook Pass for the summer? Seems a bit early in the season yet to have that pass open...? BTW, Chinook Pass is a GREAT DRIVE!!!!!

I took it Monday the 28th. The opening of the pass varies year to year. Cayuse Pass is still closed due to storm damage from December.
Lake Pend Oreille in Northern Idaho is in my opinion the most beautiful lake and a national treasure.
Thanks for the pictures.
It's my favorite too because of the water control making the river navigable almost from the Washington border to Montana. Flathead Lake and Lake Chelan are up there as well. Across the border in British Columbia are many great lakes too. The inland Northwest arguably has the best collection of lakes on the continent.
Here is a pic of Lake Chelan I took last week. The more scenic part is around the bend, but I was just passing through. That's Manson in the distance. I took the pic from the side of 97A.
Great job! I always loved the wide-open spaces of eastern Washington.

Wow, never thought I'd see Wenatchee on here. Sure has been growing a lot in the last 30 years. Lake Chelan is a beauty. Great to see some Montana towns too. Thanks for the pics, brings back memories.
