Awesome to see, @schuylkillyards! What's the next phase of construction going to entail?

@_aaronjlevin_ keep a look out for the reimagined building at 3000 Market, recently announced to be fully leased by Spark Therapeutics, and updates soon on the first of the towers!

Sounds like corporate speak for "we have no information to share at this time and we don't know when we'll start"

Eh, I think it more means “We generally know when the first towers are gonna happen, but everything else is completely in the air”

First tower (3025 JFK) is mostly residential, so they probably do have a general idea when they'll start. They likely won't need an anchor tenant for the office space.

Second tower (3001 JFK - taller red tower) is mostly office, so they'll definitely need an anchor tenant before starting that.

Group selected for 30th Street Station redevelopment

I'm mildly surprised that Brandywine didn't get the nod for the Gray 30th Street Station redevelopment.

It makes some sense. Brandywine is a REIT, and 30th St Station is a public good, not exactly the kind of income-producing commercial property that Brandywine specializes in (although of course Amtrak does lease a lot of space there). I tend to think Amtrak wouldn't want to give Brandywine any incremental income from the added commercial space and would rather keep it for themselves and pay a fee developer.

Yeah this info really should’ve been sent into the 30th St Development thread.

He's referring to the Philly District 30 link above. However on some PD30 PDF's it lables Schuylkill Yards as phase one of the whole redevelopment

Great catch! I missed it. Says construction to start 2020. If I was living in NYC and in a job where I could work from home, the area around hear would be my new address. Easy commute 1-2x per week to NYC.
