New zoning app is up to renovate the existing 6 story building at the NW corner Lake & Peoria. Then they want to create a new 10 story, 154 foot tall building along Sangamon touching between Fulton Market and Lake. This building would connect to the old 6 story building along Lake. It looks like the new building would have a 6 story portion about the height of the old one in a similar style. Then the above 4 stories would be glass, and it looks like the connector of the new buildings and old buildings would also be glass.
The parcel along Lake is currently a surface lot and the rest of the parcel is a normal 2 story industrial type of building. In total - 17,860 sq ft of new ground floor retail, 372,662 sq ft of new office space, and 111 total parking spots. The entire development from street level for 6 stories in all facets would be in an older style of building for the most part. The glass portion would sit on top of that. The developer appears to be Fulton St Company who are doing multiple projects already in the area.
