^At 150m there wouldn't be much of a map for Vancouver. We'd have 2 red markers (counting the recently completed Shangri-La) and 2 green. Height isn't Vancouver's strong point, but at least we're getting 3 new tallests over a few short years.

Lucky for you I've been stuck at home with strep throat all week...so I have a lot of time on my hands

I suppose it's a good thing that a couple of pages of density chat keep the real topic of this thread on page one of the forum... buys some time at least during the hijacking.

Maldive, you make such excellent renders, that we're all interested in stroking your ego to keep you hard at work on the next one... You have little fear of interest drying up as you work your pixel magic...

^Chicago's legendary when it comes to architecture and having an amazing skyline/height. Don't think any city can really match it, probably not even NYC.

OT
Well I take that back, NY can match Chicago on pretty much any of the mentioned variables above, but from what I hear Chicago's like a clean New York. I've heard a lot of good and bad things about New York, never really heard any bad things about Chicago. I know if I had the choice, I'd choose to move to Chicago rather than New York as well!

^Well to be honest I live in Edmonton still and from personal experience it seems most people rarely concern themselves with the big cities, but from the little I have heard from family and friends who have been to Chicago they've had great things to say about the city. Plus checking out pics of downtown Chicago on flickr and tour photos on this site always amazes me.

I suppose they must have a high murder rate, but which American city doesn't

Haha, that's awesome!

Strangely MSH Assiniboine was the first thing I saw.

How did I miss the CMHR in that render??? As you've said, it looks like a monsterous space squid thats landed at the Forks.

I still can't believe how big it will be, especially in relation to Fort Garry Place.

For those like me who didn't notice it, its on the right between the two sets of apartment towers.

What's that on top of the second apartment tower to the right of the Bessborough?

It looks like someone built an enclosed waterslide park up there. If that's so, i'm totally making the roadtrip out Saskatoon this summer.

I think thats the Lighthouse tower. At 30 stories or something the tower will be the tallest in saskatchewan when built, other than the hideous observation thing of course.

I think that's the proposed tower called 'Lighthouse'? (Posted at same time...)

The observation tower is silly. I hope it doesn't get built. It's too Thunder Bay for Saskatoon.

Refreshing to see Saskatoon represented. I agree that the observation tower needs a better design though. Might as well make it taller while your at it, don't want it to end up like the Calgary Tower in 30 years.

That Chicago map is awesome (thanks Mister F) really puts things in perspective. Chicago wins for best skyline IMO, lots of height, height variation, old and new buildings, and always something(s) up and coming.

Those are nice looking buildings with the exception of those ugly canopies on the top.
