I live by Centra and that one only took like a year and a half. Having below and above ground parking takes quite a bit longer than how they been building these big above ground parking garages. It’ll shoot right up once they get to the wood frame just like The Fillmore did.

I was in the County website and it looks like Fore was kind enough to turn the southern strip of their property into Taylor Street. 50' wide ROW so it's not just a paseo but a real street.

Final building plans came in for Broadstone Camelback (502 W Camelback) as well as a small 15 unit infill project at 531 E Willetta.

Are there any renderings on this one?

This is from the zoning case a year ago.

This is from the Business Journal of Phoenix in the Spring. Very similar, but slight differences. I haven't seen the latest submittals.

More of the same. But I'll take it. Especially along this stretch of Camelback.

^ Could have easily gone with more of a hip, mid-century vibe for that location. ORB absolutely sucks.

Don't hate the architect, hate the guys paying the architect to purposefully give them a bland and "safe" design. If they wanted something unique and interesting they would be giving him different direction.

Seriously! ORB squirts out the stinkiest turds of value engineered mid-rise apartments, completely boring eyesores from every side. I'm so tired of their unimaginative designs blighting Central Phoenix. They're working on pinching off a few more piles around town in 2021 too.

If you go to Hertz to rent a car and all they have are crappy Chevrolets do you blame Chevy or do you blame Hertz?

I'm not a Rich Brown apologist but your frustration is misdirected.

Is there an update on the Alta Warehouse apartment project on 600 W Grant? The one that burned down in June.

They make a reference to that project at the end of this article, which was released 2 weeks ago.

I'm more hit than miss with with ORB's designs despite how bland they are.

This might be my favorite design for a similarly constructed building in all places like Milpitas, CA but they run massively expensive even compared to other buildings elsewhere.

https://goo.gl/maps/QCYXWKTdwyd3FzUL7

ORB's designs are a dime a dozen but will age well for tenants, not owner/investors. Cheap schlock is good for a street scene. Let these projects fill up space and drive up density and quality elsewhere.

Maybe just a case of the writer not knowing Alta Warehouse was the project that burned down? The project is showing on the 2020 Q4 report, so they may have just went off of that information? It's been a month or so since I have been by the site, but the entire site has been demo'd including the elevator shafts IIRC and I did not seen any new movement on the site to indicate they has restarted construction.

Edit: Correction. Drove by the site during lunch. Three of the 6 elevator shafts were demo'd and it appears they are keeping the remaining 3. Also, full construction has started again with full crew and equipment on site moving dirt and rebuilding the foundations.

Awesome! I saw the fencing going up last Thursday. Glad they are jumping on this and not waiting for 2 years as they did with Thomas/Central.

Now if they could get Van Buren moving, Toll Brothers could be 3 for 3.

Noticed that yesterday. Not sure if it means construction is starting or not they removed the Billboard at the corner a year ago.

Surprised because im sure that board was making them plenty of money.
