I think a plaza/park would be better. Right by the library, the Independent, Seaholm and across the creek from the Proper.

While we’re at it someone should put those nasty power lines underground as well. They detract from the views.

I'm fairly certain that the 16 story base portion of the 360 is in that same CVC. So, I imagine that it could be much taller than the library. With a lot as big as that one is, one could imagine an office building with really large floor plates and subsequently a lot of square footage.

When suggesting on the last page that the substation could be covered by a tarp, I didn't mean a "blanket" - but rather a structure something like this with different elevations, which would be cheaper than a fake building or burying everything (not to mention having local artists add colorful designs to the top):

This would really only benefit those looking down on it. The sides would still be exposed and it looks like something you'd want to go inside of. I think you need to cover all 4 sides completely then maybe add an artistic roof, but not make it look like a tourist attraction. IMO it should be similar to A Silicon Labs building, but just a shell with substation inside. Otherwise they should just relocate it.

In the second photo, if the drone were about 15 feet lower and 10 feet to the left this would be a perfect picture, because the W would be completely blocked from view.

While we're on the fog theme, here's one from my morning bike ride of the Fairmont disappearing into the sky.

"Fairmont disappears into the sky"

Could be the next headline regarding their never-ending problems.

Yeah, it was really foggy. We went out of town to Conroe on Saturday and left early. It was super foggy. This was US 290 east of Giddings just before sunrise.

This first one shows how the new high rises in West Campus have impacted that neighborhood (west of UT).

Could these be used for someone to mock up future and current projects? Maybe?

Really great shots.

In #1, it's really easy to imagine how the lineup of 600 guad, whatever goes on the Post Office lot, and the Courthouse Lot could feasibly give the city a new and prominent north-south spine.

In #2, it's very, very easy to see how Butler Shores might be a perfect place for a soccer stadium. The views will be stellar.
