Funny story but I just happened to be walking my dog on the trail when they were filming some of those scenes on the pedestrian bridge. They had me and other passersby stop while they did the scene of them going around the circle ramp. Then they said we can go once they were done and I got on the bridge and they said move to the side so we stopped again on the side and those people with the dog come running by. I'm assuming it was the director that yelled out "cut...okay let's do that again". We were allowed to move on our way while they were getting the actors back into their starting positions, I happened to overhear some other people standing over on the south side of the bridge talking about it and one of them said "they've been there watching them do the same thing over and over again" I thought they were filming a tv show or something not some commercial lol. I didn't know until I saw the commercial and thought why would they need to do that many takes for a couple of seconds of commercial? Lol
Sometimes folks get very territorial of public spaces when filming. I totally get it, but there are some who go a bit overboard.

FYI, plaque psoriasis is an auto-immune disease very similar to arthritis. It just has different symptoms because it attacks the skin instead of the joints. It may not look pretty, but it's not something you can catch from people who have it, unlike herpes or some other STD.

I hate drug commercials too.

You mean to tell me these were actors and not Austinites suffering from plaque psoriasis!?! Man I hate drug company commercials. But those scenes they selected were excellent.

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or not. I'm guessing not. But Detroit has Dan Gilbert. What he's doing for that city is amazing.

Awesome video. The overhead shots of the intersections with the traffic and crowds crossing the street in large groups reminded me a bit of some sections of Brooklyn and NYC.

Not quite Andrew Takano quality, but it's recent. Big Red Dog updated their website, and it features an aerial video albeit brief of some of their Austin and San Antonio projects.

Just a few photos from Tuesday August 23, 2016

It's amazing how that view from Lou Neff Point has changed since 2008

Yay! You're back. It's also amazing how that Lou Neff Point view changed from 2003 to 2008. It may be even more amazing how it changes from 2016 to 2020.

Scratch that. I wish I could put 360 where Northshore is, Northshore where Seaholm Residences is, and Seaholm Residences where 360 is.

I guess that Northshore never got any cool lighting - what are the chances they could still do something?

I don't know, but I'm bummed out that they haven't done anything with it. The W was a good building to not have lit sort of in the same way Fountain Place in Dallas isn't, but Northshore screams for some kind of accent lighting.
