Were you able to attend and get some photos? I'm dying to see the interior of this. The renderings of the central atrium look amazing.

I took quite a few and they are on my facebook page. Wish I could upload photos directly on this site.

Cool. I don't do the facebook thing, but I was able to scrounge together a few recent shots of the atrium.

From Drexel updated March 21st.

It's hard to get a good overall impression of the space from these photos. But if it's anything like the renderings it will be pretty spectacular.

Nice find. When I was there, scaffolding blocked the atrium.

^ Those last two shots are great. Helps put it into perspective for us non-Philly pholks.

Take away the 2 construction trailers and fence, and that becomes the shot that sells Drexel.

I'm not a fan of this building's design. I mean, I get that it is trying hard to be so unlike anything else. For all its unaligned windows and cement cladding, it just comes off as clunky. Universities seem to be the last frontier of throwback brutalism.

Took these a couple days ago when I noticed the signage being installed. Also, they have installed fins/shades/louvers (not sure what term is appropriate) in the lower section outside of the glass.

Also, the Drexel statue has been uncovered.

Photos of the inside. Looks like there is a lot less wood finish than originally proposed though....

^^^ Nice. I absolutely love the way this one turned out. It definitely sticks out in a good way when you look west on Market Street from Center City.
