Hey!

I own a 2b2br there in Georgetown and I've been following your posts on here for months and months now as my update reference, and I knew had to make account at some point just to say thank you haha.

Me and my family actually had our walkthrough around mid-July, so I'm surprised they only let you do it now.

Nonetheless I just wanted to say thank you for the consistent updates, and here's a view from our walkthrough. https://ibb.co/Rypvhby

Hey nice to meet you. I like your view, its a good mix of city/mountains. No worries Im sure you and your family will love the place. I’ll keep updating here until occupancy occurs. Until then hope you have a smooth move in day. Take care!

there are traffic lights now installed there, just a few feet away from the intersection with traffic lights. Anyway, when did those get installed? they weren't there a few days ago. Also lots of outside activity going on there the last few days.

Hey, hows it going?. The Anthem representative told me only 2/17 retail units were confirmed apparently. Theres a restaurant by pizzahut on 104 thats closing so it sort of validates the Pizzahut not sure about the Starbucks thats by London Drugs.

I know that at least one other business in that Pizza Hut strip mall on 104th is looking to move. Maybe that means there'll soon be news about demolition on that site as well?

Yes, most likely. Not sure where we’d find that info

Most likely. I'm sure that plaza will be redeveloped soon. The Car Wash nearby was already closed and fenced off for redevelopment.

there is a proposal for that big empty lot next to where Pizza Hut is currently. It was posted on here quite a while ago, i think it's 4 towers in total.

Integrated sidewalk lighting is now on at the corner of Whalley Blvd and 102A Ave.

I saw an ad on Facebook from Anthem saying "We're back!". There is a new Georgetown plan. Here is the image, albeit not great quality. I'm sure we'll see more renders soon.

Murals can be a big crap-shoot, but when done well they are phenomenal additions to the city. With respect to the one you note, that's undoubtedly there for the benefit of residents, being on the amenity level and all as you note. At least the blank wall is painted and not left as bare 'architectural' concrete. Perhaps it can be painted in the future? Does Surrey have anything like the mural 'festival' that the City of Vancouver (and many others) have supported in recent years.

I would of thought it would be because they were afraid of graffiti or being vandalized in general.
