They are growing in popularity in the area as others have pointed out with DDIs at 35 and University and Mopac and Slaughter.
They also want to put diverging diamond at 360 and 2222, 360 and 2244, 35 and Airport Blvd, and a form of DDI/Continuous Flow at Airport Blvd and N. Lamar.

I believe that is technically a continuous flow intersection and not a DDI.
