I'd originally hoped the render was just a partial cross-section of how they intended on replacing the entire concrete facade, but I'm skeptical now. Are they really just going to carve big, ungainly rectangles into this building? I...I just really, really can't see the purpose in doing that. It boggles the mind.

Anybody know what the existing white facade panels are? Precast? GFRC? The renovation they are doing might not be so bad if they also re-clad those in polished aluminum, but that would pretty much increase the cost of this project by an entire order of magnitude.

So, that's more facade removal than any of the renders have shown. Does that mean that the new curtain-wall will wrap the entire building? That would be welcome news!

It feels like a missed opportunity by not giving it a complete reclad.
I think only that portion of the tower is being used for office space.

What the hell! I've been thinking they were recladding the whole thing. They're somehow making one of the biggest eyesores even worse. It looks like it's falling apart.
