Why do people keep saying that? Is it a joke? It's certainly not true.

Somebody once made a comment in the Canada section that Calgary was Canada's most dynamic city - as in it was changing at a rate more than other cities - and it touched off a huge crap-storm, so it's sort of a joke for us Calgary forumers.

As far as the Beltline goes....I think one could make an argument that based on the amount of development in the last 5-7 years, that it could be Canada's most dynamic neighborhood with respect to rate of change. Of course nobody would ever want to declare that, as they would never hear the end of it

Canada's most dynamic established neighborhood I imagine some of the new suburban neighborhoods in any city would be more dynamic.

Yes indeed. Canada's most dynamic inner city neighbourhood, with respect to rate of change

The Beltline covers a very large area. Still, I would say the scale of development pales in comparison to some Toronto neighbourhoods. Tower developments in Toronto are just so much larger and, in some neighbourhoods, are as numerous as the Beltline.

Dynamic neighbourhood or not this project looks DEAD. They hauled away the construction fencing.

Apparently the fencing just blew down in some wind, maybe they took it away so they could get some better stuff in place before resuming. Don't know why they would have done site prep, clearing, and leveling only a couple weeks ago to then just abandon the project.

Better fencing? Almost all the companies build the same 9'x6' panels from my experience. The only thing I could see is if they were going to put hoarding up.

Maybe that's the case? I dunno though, as it's a rental tower they probably won't do fancy hoarding.

Yup now looks "deader". Not a good clean-up work though guys, even if you decide not to build.

I think it's officially on hold, as I saw cars parked on the lot yesterday. I can't say I'm too surprised, as it was to be rental and we have a ton of rental suites going up in a soft market.

" PATIENCE! " Save your energy, incredible Calgary, and don't stress over this temporary setback. You need to prepare for the ' supertall ' coming your way, soon.

And, before anyone asks, " NO!.... I'm not delusional, drunk, or high. "

By supertall, do you mean something at 300m or taller?
