LOOK AT FULOP'S Facebook page. FULOP flipped. This may not get built!

Basically, he posts his displeasure of the project and vows to fight against the tax abatement request that was submitted last week.

I have serious doubts about 1 and 30 Journal Square moving forward anytime soon.

Fulop's post was made 50 minutes ago. This is huge!

The new design is dramatically better than the old design.
How did I manage to miss this remarkable development?

Anyone wealthy enough to afford such luxury with Manhattan views is going to be very happy!

This was at the Planning Board yesterday. I don't know if it was approved, but likely was. We will find out in a few days.

I hope like-minded folks showed up at the meeting yesterday and advocated for a taller building.

Note: The sign lies!

Promises of a tower, but lies!

*Intersting. The reported 46 floor tower is not inclusive of a 10 storey base. The real height is 56 floors. So there has been no reduction from the past proposal.

The 79 floor tower is however inclusive of the 10 storey base.

And unanimously approved :-)

Further good news is that they're not using the full density allowance and could come back and add additional floors to either tower if the market demands it.

The developer added a few floors to each tower and are now taking full advantage of the allowable development rights. I would not be surprised if the taller tower ends up in the low 80s. Think 10 ft per floor so 5/3.

Again, speculation on my part but the pieces of the puzzle are there.

The actions taken by Kushner suggests he may be planning to build both towers at the same time...

Anyone know for sure? I guess it makes sense if the share the same base?

If I'm not mistaken I believe at the most recent approval for the two tower One Journal Square project wasn't it said that both would be built together? I certainly hope so, and fingers crossed 30 Journal Square won't be that far behind.

That would be ideal versus the phase style / % of sales SOP for projects like URL and Journal Squared. Both those projects, once they reach a certain % of sales, will continue to the next phase. Such as the case with URL, which is a 3 tower development.

This will be a big deal for the region. Given its location, it will be the focal point for many coming in from the West. Also quite a complement to Newark from certain angles.

Gorgeous.

Height spectacular.

If there was one gripe it would be that I wish it could have retained a strong signage element at its' base... I thought that it was appropriate to JS and would have fostered a mini-Times Square feel. This looks outstanding though. Clearly it's something Jared can be proud of after being tied to the humiliation that is his father-in-law.

That is just crazy big for that area. I am not going to be able to recognize Journal Square when I one day make it back there to visit (probably years from now.)

Journal Square already has a skyline thanks to the first Journal Squared tower.

And it's only going to get bigger and taller.

Looks good. Glad to see more towers being built in that area. The Journal Squared Tower just looks weird right now out there by itself.
