Ottawa CBD's new tallest getting close to ground level! It may not be a supertall but it will definitely be a tabletop breaker given its height, relative position in the skyline and elevation.

Great shots, though my favourite part of Kotsy pics is trying to find where he put his logo and in what style it will be.

Yeah, I think it’ll turn out decent, I find almost all the buildings in Burnaby look the same to me, but that height will make Metrotown skyline stand out a bit more. It’s always nice to have a new tallest.

The soundtrack is unexpected for Metrotown! Great video, love your drone work giallo.

Diamond Schmitt Architects for Telus Ocean (one of the few office buildings under construction in Canada) - reputable award winning firm.

They made modifications to change from a primary glass wall, moved the Telus sign to the lower level so it wouldn't be seen above the Empress hotel. They also planned to have the building almost disappear or provide a neutral backdrop to the Empress if seen from the harbour, added dots to the glass to prevent bird strikes and panels to the back sides for privacy for the condo residents and less reflections. But perhaps it all comes out as a bit too messy?

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until I see the final product and how the designs on the extruding edge of the windows panel come together. One thing for certain is it'll look completely different depending on the light, there won't be a smooth look or reflection and it look completely different when viewed from the north vs. the south.

One thing they should have done is made that ground level prow more dramatic.

Thanks for this Maldive - I was wondering what the development across from Asquith Park was when I took this picture and forgot to look it up. A complimentary companion building for sure. The light here is so tricky, I think the key is to take a picture at night or a cloudy day, lol.

Great Toronto updates. Love this first shot, that density , and it's not even getting the tops of the tall buildings in the foreground.
